ISEK AQUAMATCH CHESS CLUB has been competing at league of Turkiye Is Bankasi for 2 years . Our team took the 11th place in 2008-2009 competition season where 16 teams compete against each other. In the first seven games, we couldn't perform well because of lack of players but in the last eight matches we revealed excellent performance with a very strong team.
ISEK AQUAMATCH CHESS TEAM blazed a trail by transferring 2004 World Champion GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov who is the first world champion playing in the Turkiye Is Bankasi Chess League. Making this transfer, our team provides not only a good support in playing for our own players, but also an opportunity to be team-mates with a world champion. By this means, İsek Aquamatch Team was in the limelight of the opponent players, coaches and the Federation during the whole league.
Beyond the success in the last 8 games, our team was admired enviously for the friendship and solidarity among the club. İsek Aquamatch Team was a good example for the other teams at the league with the association, appropratiaon and the friendly behaviours of the members to eachother no matter how different their ages are. The orange uniforms they didn't even take off during the whole league were worth seeing in that tournament room.
Our team has already started the preparations for becoming stronger, and will keep the existing team in 2009-2010 season. We wish them great success for the next season.

2008 Turkiye Is Bankasi Chess League Has Resulted
Istanbul Chess Education Club Aquamatch Players who had the opportunity to take part in the league of Turkiye Is Bankasi after being Turkiye Clubs Cup Champion in year 2007, has earned the success of being 6th among the 16 teams in this challenging competition!!!
ISEK Aquamatch is at 2008 Turkiye Is Bankasi Chess League
After winning the finals of Turkiye Clubs Chess Championship with a great success, ISEK Aquamatch has joined Turkiye Is Bankası Chess League and will compete at the first league matches on 23 July - 3 June 2008 in İzmit.

"ISEK Aquamatch" team that we, as Aquamatch Turkey, support very proudly, is composed of very valued players of İstanbul Education Center. The team has earned a great success in the local league of Turkiye Chess Federation and has outpointed the nearest team with 3 excess points by gaining 16 ponits, and has gained an opportunity to compete in Turkiye Is Bankasi Chess League.
